I’m a creative graphic designer, UI/UX product designer, and video editor.
I’m comfortable working simultaneously on several projects with varying deadlines. I’m passionate but not precious about my designs and am confident when presenting my ideas and concepts. Working within a startup I am adept at working within small, agile, and cross-functional teams with short deadlines; while also working with offsite development teams.
In my current role I am the designer and project manager for a product-driven tech start-up working on B2B and B2C platforms. This involves juggling many projects including web design, asset design, pitch decks, prototypes, user research, and marketing materials (print and digital).
I lead the design process from start to finish to implement new products, drive conversion, and optimise the booking experience. This includes creating wireframes and user flows to produce user centric designs which are based upon research and website analytics. I’ve project managed a complete new user interface and UX flow while also helping to improve the visual design process within the company. I monitor the website performance and look for improvements via google analytics, hotjar and user testing.
I have experience of working in an agile environment alongside the developers, and have created designs which have gone live and made positive effects on the business both financially and increasing the customer base
I have knowledge and experience of SEO as it plays a key role in my web designs.
Most of my work is created using Sketch, as well as adobe creative cloud, and I create prototypes using Zeplin to map out the UI, UX and flow of new products. I collaborate with developers and external technical teams via Jira to plan and manage sprint tickets.
I work closely with the marketing department to design email campaigns, app pushes, brochures, posters and signage.
I keep up to date with current design trends and take inspiration from websites including Behance, siteinspire, awwwards, itsnicethat, designspiration, hoverstat and logolounge. I listen to the podcasts ‘design matters’ and ‘Arrest all mimics’ which, among other topics, discusses future design directions and I attend monthly talks including ‘Nicer Tuesdays’ which provides insights from industry experts.
I would be an asset to a company sports team, an average pub quiz team member, and useless at a team karaoke night.
